Google Play

Not enough Google Play screenshots

Google Play needs at least 2 screenshots across device types to publish, and apps need 4 or more (games 3) at 1080 px or larger to be eligible for its recommendation formats. Large screens (tablets, Chromebooks) ask for at least 4.

“You must provide a minimum of two screenshots across different device types to publish your store listing.”

You’ll see this when…

  • Play Console won’t publish the listing.
  • Your app doesn’t appear in large-format recommendations.

How to fix it

  1. Add screenshots until each device type you support has 4.
  2. Use 9:16 at 1080 × 1920 or larger.
  3. Prioritise real UI in the first three.
