App Store Screenshot Maker

AppShotEditor is a free App Store screenshot maker: you drop simulator screenshots into device frames, write headlines, and export PNGs at the exact sizes App Store Connect accepts. Unlike one-shot generators, the result stays an editable project, and a coding agent can build the first draft for you.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Collect

Capture 3–6 screens that show the app working: the main task, the result, and one or two standout features.

  2. 2

    Draft

Start from a template or the example above, or let the Agent Skill draft headlines from your code.

  3. 3

    Refine

Edit text, colours and device placement on the canvas; every element is a separate layer.

  4. 4

    Export & upload

Export iPhone at 1320 × 2868 and iPad at 2064 × 2752, then drag them into App Store Connect.

What “maker” means here

A screenshot maker should do three jobs: put your screenshot in a convincing device, give it a message, and output files App Store Connect accepts without a fight. AppShotEditor does all three, and adds a fourth: you can come back next month and change one word without redoing the set.

Projects live in your browser (no account needed). Signing in adds sync across devices and storage for the Agent Skill.

Two ways to start

  • By hand: open the editor, choose a device, drop in screenshots and type headlines.
  • With a coding agent: install the free Agent Skill, say “make App Store screenshots for this app”, and open the link it returns. The skill reads your code for real benefits and composes the set with the same engine that drew the example above.

Checks before you upload

  • Exact pixel sizes (the export presets handle this).
  • No alpha channel: preset-size PNG exports are written without one; for custom sizes export JPEG.
  • Screens that show the app in use, not just a logo or a login page (App Review Guideline 2.3.3).
  • Copy that matches your App Store metadata and doesn’t mention other platforms.

Frequently asked questions

Is this App Store screenshot maker free?

Yes. The editor, phone frames and single-screen export are free, with no watermark and no account. Paid plans add iPad and Mac frames, premium templates, ZIP export of a full set and more cloud storage.

Can I edit the screenshots after exporting?

Yes. The project keeps every layer, so you can change text, colours, frames or screenshots and export again.

Does it work for Google Play too?

Yes. Use a 9:16 canvas with a Pixel frame and export at 1080 × 1920; App Store sizes are too tall for Google Play’s 2:1 limit.

Does AppShotEditor upload my screenshots?

Not without an account: the editor works in your browser and keeps projects there. If you sign in, projects can sync to your account, and the Agent Skill uploads the screenshots you give it to your account storage.
