iPad Screenshot Generator

If your app runs on iPad, Apple requires 13-inch screenshots at 2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732 px, and AppShotEditor makes them in your browser with real iPad frames. Design one 3:4 set, export it at 2064 × 2752, and keep the project editable for the next release.

iPad frames are part of the Starter plan ($29/year). Opening the example works on any plan; on the free plan you can swap in a phone frame or keep the screenshot frameless.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Capture

Run your app in the iPad Pro 13-inch (M4 or M5) simulator. Its screenshots are 2064 × 2752, the size Apple asks for.

  2. 2

    Set up

In the editor choose Page Setup → iPad 13″, which gives a 3:4 canvas with an iPad frame.

  3. 3

    Design

Use the extra width: a shorter headline, a larger device, or two devices side by side.

  4. 4

    Export

Export with the “iPad Pro 13" Display” preset (2064 × 2752), portrait or landscape. Preset PNGs have no alpha channel.

The one iPad size you must provide

Apple marks the 13-inch display as “Required if the app runs on iPad.” Both 2064 × 2752 and 2048 × 2732 are accepted there. Smaller iPad groups (12.9, 11, 10.5 and 9.7-inch) fall back to it, so one 13-inch set covers every iPad.

Do not reuse iPhone screenshots on iPad. The 3:4 canvas is far wider than an iPhone’s 9:19.5, and App Review expects screenshots to show the app running on the device class it is listed for.

Designing for a wider canvas

An iPad canvas has about 60% more width per unit of height than an iPhone one. Layouts that work well:

  • One large device with a one-line headline: the screenshot carries more detail at this size.
  • Landscape screenshots for apps people use in landscape (video, drawing, dashboards). Apple accepts 2752 × 2064.
  • Split-view or Stage Manager screens, if your app supports them: they show off iPad-specific value.

iPad frames in the editor

The editor includes iPad Pro 13" (M4), iPad Pro 11" (M4), iPad Air 13", iPad Air 11" and iPad mini 7. They are part of the Starter plan and above; phone frames stay free.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need iPad screenshots if my app is iPhone-only?

No. Apple requires 13-inch iPad screenshots only if your app runs on iPad. If you build for iPhone only and do not allow iPad, leave the iPad section empty.

Can I upload 2048 × 2732 instead of 2064 × 2752?

Yes. Apple accepts both sizes in the 13-inch group. 2048 × 2732 is the older 12.9-inch iPad Pro size.

Are iPad frames free?

No. iPad frames come with the Starter plan ($29/year) and above. The editor, phone frames and single-screen export are free.

Can iPad screenshots be landscape?

Yes. Apple accepts 2752 × 2064 and 2732 × 2048 for the 13-inch group. Keep one orientation across the set so the row looks consistent.
