Device frame

A device frame is a picture of a device’s body drawn around a screenshot so it looks like the app is running on that device. A good frame has a measured screen area, so the screenshot fits exactly and is clipped to the screen’s rounded corners.

Apple doesn’t require frames. Google’s guidelines for its recommendation formats ask you to avoid device imagery, so many Play sets are frameless or use minimal frames.

Frames in our editor carry their screen geometry (position, size, corner radius), which is how a dropped screenshot lands in the right place.

Two screens in the iPhone 17 Pro Max frame; the screenshot is clipped to the frame’s screen area.
